Preparing for the Stage? Don’t Forget Insurance.

One of my favorite bands recently announced they will be returning to the stage this fall. While they won’t be playing anywhere near me, I’m thrilled to hear the news. And I’m sure I’m not alone in looking forward to attending live shows.

As restrictions on gatherings begin to ease, fans of live shows will be lined up to attend performances at their local concert venues, theatres, and other event locations. For performers, this is great news.

Performer Liability Insurance

Whether big or small, there’s a lot to consider when preparing for a live event – and that includes insurance. Performing is a business after all, and the proper insurance provides needed coverage to keep your business protected.

Our tailored insurance program protects the Policyholder against claims of bodily injury liability, property damage liability, personal and advertising injury liability, and the litigation costs to defend against such claims. Coverage includes suits arising out of:

• Injury or death of spectators
• Injury or death of volunteers
• Products liability coverage (completed operations)
• Incidental medical malpractice
• All activities necessary to conduct activities
• Ownership, use, or maintenance of fields or practice areas
• General negligence claims
• Cost of investigation and defense of claims, even if groundless

In addition to performer liability insurance, we recommend the following optional insurance coverages:

Equipment Coverage

Inland Marine insurance insurance provides coverage for your equipment and contents up to the specified limit.

Hired and Non-Owned Automobile Liability Coverage

This liability coverage provides protection for rented, borrowed and other non-owned vehicles driven on performer business.

Increased Aggregates

This option increases the aggregate limit of liability insurance from $1,000,000 to larger amounts.

While many performers are accustomed to acquiring insurance on a solo basis, our insurance program also offers the convenience of group policies. For events with multiple performers, our group policies help save time and money.

Our insurance programs are available for one-day special events, annual policies, and anything in between. Learn more, get a quote, or purchase insurance.
